In this three session class women will learn or deepen the specific and important skills to create an energetic container for magical and ritual work. We will focus on the purpose of the ritual circle, sensing and projecting energy for casting and taking down the ritual circle, and creating powerful and authentic invocations to the elemental powers and the Goddess. Through instruction, in-class exercises, meditation, individual and group work, women will get knowledge and hands-on experience to enhance their abilities to perform the basic work of our tradition – creating sacred working space for personal and group rituals and magical workings. If you have an athame and/or wand, please bring it to class. If you don’t have these tools, no worries!  (This class is a required class for Dianic initiation through any Temple of Diana grove, including Circle of Aradia, Sisters of the Moon, and Daughters of Artemis.)

Instructors: Cerridwen and Nicki Harris

Cerridwen has been on the path of the Goddess for over 20 years, and has been teaching Goddess classes since 1988. She is a member of Circle of Aradia, serves on COA’s Curriculum Committee and on the Board of Temple of Diana, founded Sisters of the Moon (a grove of Temple of Diana), and is an ordained priestess through Temple of Diana.  She has studied with Ruth Barrett, Falcon River, Letecia Leyson, Vajra Ma, Z Budapest, and Starhawk, and completed the Spiral Door advanced training offered byTemple of Diana. She holds a Ph.D. in Folklore and Mythology, and has taught at various local Los Angeles universities.

Nicki Harris has been on the path of the Goddess since 1998.  On a full moon when she uttered that she needed a teacher she was led to Ruth Barrett and Falcon River where she began her Dianic training at CoA which led to advanced training offered by Temple of Diana through the Spiral Door Women’s Mystery School of Magick and Ritual Arts.  An ordained Priestess in the Guardian Path through Temple of Diana, she co-founded The Daughters of Artemis Grove, a Temple of Diana Grove serving women in the mountains in the north eastern area of Los Angeles County.
